Besonderheiten: Angostura Bitter, ein unverzichtbarer Klassiker in jeder Bar, wird seit 1824 nach einem geheimen Rezept aus einer Vielzahl ausgesuchter Kräuter und Gewürze hergestellt. Seine kräftige, dunkle Farbe und der unverwechselbar würzige Charakter machen ihn zu einer essenziellen Zutat in zahlreichen Cocktailkreationen. Neben der Verwendung in Getränken findet er auch in der Küche Anwendung, um Saucen und Desserts eine besondere Note zu verleihen.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nase: Komplexe Aromen von Gewürzen, Kräutern und einer subtilen Zitrusnote, die sich perfekt miteinander verbinden.
  • Gaumen: Bitter und würzig mit intensiven Aromen von Gewürzen, Nelken, Zimt und einem Hauch von Zitrusfrüchten. Eine leichte Süsse und Würze runden den Geschmack ab.
  • Abgang: Lang und trocken, mit einer feinen Würze und einem angenehmen bitteren Nachklang.

Destillerie/Abfüller: Angostura Limited, Corner Eastern Main Road & Trinity Avenue, Laventille, Trinidad & Tobago. Ursprünglich 1824 von Dr. Johann Siegert in Venezuela gegründet, wurde das Unternehmen später nach Trinidad & Tobago verlegt. Die genaue Rezeptur für den Angostura Bitter bleibt bis heute ein streng gehütetes Geheimnis.

That aside, the trays are a handsome set. I think 20% larger might serve us a tad better, but this will do very nicely for now. We're able to fit almost everything we need in the tray and that will leave the tables looking much tidier, even if one or two items don't quite make it in.
