The 21-inch is the most popular choice — a practical balance of reach and portability for everyday carry. The 16-inch suits discreet carry in a bag or jacket. The 26-inch is the right call for home defense or vehicle storage where concealment isn't the priority. This type of baton goes by several names depending on the buyer — collapsible baton, retractable baton, expandable baton, telescoping baton, telescopic stick — all referring to the same friction-lock steel construction and flick-to-open deployment mechanism.

Which size telescopic baton should I choose?

It comes down to how you plan to carry it. The 16-inch collapses to under 7 inches — the most discreet option for daily carry. The 21-inch is the most versatile, offering reach without bulk, and is the most commonly purchased size. The 26-inch gives you maximum reach and impact force, making it better suited for home defense or keeping in a vehicle than for on-person carry. Also available in pink.

Is a collapsible baton strong enough for real self-defense?

Yes. The hardened steel construction and positive locking system mean the baton holds firmly when extended and won't collapse under impact. It's built to the same functional standard used by security professionals — not a novelty item. The baton releases only when you deliberately close it by slamming the tip straight down on a hard surface — the friction lock holds firmly under impact but releases cleanly with a direct downward strike.

Is training required to use an expandable baton?

No formal training is required to deploy it — the flick-to-open mechanism is straightforward. That said, practicing the closing technique beforehand is strongly recommended. Slamming the tip straight down on a hard surface to retract it takes a confident motion — hesitation makes it harder, not easier.

Are telescopic batons legal to carry?

Expandable baton laws vary by state and locality — some states restrict concealed carry, require a permit, or have additional municipal regulations. Laws in this category have also been subject to recent court challenges and can change. TBOTECH ships to all US states. Compliance with state and local laws is the buyer's responsibility. If you're unsure about regulations in your area, check with local law enforcement or a licensed attorney before carrying. For technique and handling, our guide to opening and closing a telescopic baton covers deployment, closing, and what to do if the baton jams. Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.
