The color temperature of 4700K captures the gentle sunlight typical of a tropical morning. According to German standards, DIN, the light resemblance index is rated lA (the highest possible), achieving a 92% similarity to natural sunlight. The ultraviolet emission is kept to a minimum at just 2%, focusing on UV A and UV B, which are essential for terrariums that imitate swampy and tropical rainforest habitats, housing species that require low UV exposure, such as spiders, scorpions, and insects. Smooth poison dart frogs, for instance, depend on this specific amount of ultraviolet light to avoid vitamin deficiency syndromes. Additionally, numerous terrarium animals rely on UV A and UV B light to synthesize vitamin D in their skin.

For the same reasons, Sera Tropic Sun Royal is also an excellent choice for illuminating bird cages. Please be aware that the lifespan of aquarium lamps is approximately 12 months.
