Blackmores St John’s Wort contains a clinically trialled dose of Hypericum perforatum (St John’s wort) to support healthy mood balance and is traditionally used in western herbal medicine for mild anxiety and nervous restlessness.

Why use:
Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to:

• Relieve symptoms of mild anxiety
• Support healthy mood balance
• Relieve nervous tension

St. John's wort appears to impact a number of neurotransmitters that have an effect on mood and emotions. Research suggests that hypericin has a tonic and tranquillising action. St. John's wort may increase the levels of certain nerve transmitters, such as serotonin, noradrenaline and dopamine, which help to maintain normal mood and keep emotions stable. 

Active ingredients: 
Hypericum perforatum (St John's Wort) extract. dry conc. 300 mg equivalent to dry top flowering 1.8 g (1800 mg) std. to contain hypericin 990 microgram.

No added yeast, gluten, wheat, milk derivatives or preservatives. No added artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners.

Directions: 
Adults – Take 1 tablet 3 times daily with meals, or as professionally prescribed

Children (under 12 years) – Only as professionally prescribed

Contraindications and cautions:

• Store below 30°C in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Do not use in pregnancy or when breastfeeding
• St John’s Wort affects the way many prescriptions medicines work, including the oral contraceptive pill. Consult your doctor.
• May rarely cause photosensitive skin rash, mild gastrointestinal symptoms, tiredness or restlessness.
• Avoid excessive skin exposure to sunlight and sunlamps while taking this product.
• Contains soya bean products.
• A grey/brown, bullet shaped tablet with break bar.
