Comfort, stability, and super grip.

The AIR'S stirrup offers a traditional design with a stainless steel frame. Its technical features, such as Freejump Shock Absorption technology and the option to choose the eye orientation and tread inclination, ensure exceptional comfort and perfect stability.

The floor of the AIR'S stirrup provides superior grip thanks to the super grip. The integration of fiberglass guarantees unparalleled longevity, and the removable steel studs enhance the anti-slip effect and ensure prolonged durability.

Technology and safety.

The floor of the AIR'S stirrup incorporates Freejump Shock Absorption technology, with a combination of an elastomer sole and a mechanical joint for optimal shock absorption. This creates a true "air cushion" effect, ensuring exceptional comfort.

The polyamide top banner of the AIR'S stirrup is designed to detach under high pressure, allowing for quick foot release if necessary. This banner is easily replaceable.

Adaptability to rider's needs.

The AIR'S stirrup offers four technical options to best meet each rider's needs. The eye can be angled at 30° or straight, and the floor can be flat or inclined at 10°. The angled eye facilitates easy mounting thanks to its 30° orientation, while the straight eye, parallel to the floor, promotes inward orientation of the toe. The forward position of the main branch allows for an offset center of gravity, facilitating a natural heel drop.

Customization and distinction.

The AIR'S stirrup is customizable for a unique look. It is possible to personalize the stickers, top banner, floor, and shock absorber by choosing from a range of colors and flags.

The traditional structure of the AIR'S stirrup allows for use in all disciplines, including dressage. The FULL BLACK version of the AIR'S will appeal with its more classic look.

Shock absorption

The structure of the AIR'S stirrup incorporates Freejump Shock Absorption technology, combining an elastomer and mechanical system for optimal shock absorption and a true "air cushion" effect.

Offset center of gravity

The forward position of the main branch allows for an offset center of gravity, facilitating a natural heel drop.

Straight or angled eye

The eye of the AIR'S stirrup can be angled at 30° or straight. The angled eye provides true comfort and facilitates mounting with its 30° orientation, while the straight eye, parallel to the floor, promotes inward orientation of the toe.

Super grip

The floor of the AIR'S stirrup offers exceptional grip thanks to the super grip and metal studs. The studs can be replaced as needed over time, thereby extending the life of the stirrups. The integration of fiberglass guarantees unparalleled longevity.

Advice & maintenance

Stirrups

  • Use a slightly damp hard-bristled brush to clean the floor (the area with the studs that hold the boot sole). This method effectively removes dirt and debris accumulated on the floor.
  • Carefully wipe the other parts of the stirrups with a soft cloth and hot water to remove dust and dirt without damaging the surfaces.
  • Let the stirrups air dry. This prevents any corrosion and ensures the longevity of the stirrups.
  • Caution: use the hard-bristled brush only for the footbed to avoid damaging the other parts. Regular maintenance ensures the durability and proper functioning of your stirrups.

"More" is not "better"
Format: Kindle
I had the privilege of working with Otis during part of his training at the National Cancer Institute at a time that policies on PSA and mammography screening were being newly scrutinized with respect to risk/benefit. The notion that screening might actually do more harm than good was seen as absolute heresy and I fondly remember the wonder and amazement in Otis' eyes as he unraveled to me just how this counter-intuitive idea could be so. Twenty years later, the truths I learned from Otis back then are still not widely appreciated among patients, indeed even doctors more sadly. I eagerly snatched this book up not only because I knew Otis and expected a riveting review of healthcare but because my experience in pharmaceutical development has led me to participate unintentionally in some of the perverse systems of conflicts of interest that characterize our healthcare system. I am at a personal watershed and this book is a strong antidote for what ails me, i.e. I feel emboldened to take my career in the direction of a solution rather than continue to contribute to the problem. Written for the general audience, We Do Harm breaks the ranks of legions of doctors who are invested in perpetuating a broken but remunerative healthcare system by introducing specific and by no means isolated instances where patients have been harmed. This book is at once disparaging of blind trust of one's physician and optimistic in that some stars like Otis and microcosms like Grady Memorial can and do avoid patient-disadvantaged conflicts of interest. This book provides evidence and motivation for every person in every role they engage in in the healthcare system: patient, consumer, provider, insurer, politician. No one can escape the relevance and import of the key message of this book that "more" is not always "better." Until such time, if ever, that our healthcare system operates under transparency, this is a must read for all. That means you! Now! It can't wait! I am a believer that healthcare quality will come from the bottom up and not the top down and this book exemplifies this spirit; read it and be empowered to ask the hard questions as to who is motivated to provide what care and at what personal gain.
