In the tradition of the great troubadours before him, Jack Grelle spent years hopping trains and hitchhiking across the US. You can sense the rambling spirit in his music combining elements of traditional country, folk, and rock'n roll. With his finger on the pulse of current issues, it's no wonder that Rolling Stone claims he is "a progressive honky-tonk hero arriving at just the right time in Trump's America." On his fourth album, If Not Forever, a sense of homecoming and reflection can be felt. If his previous albums showed a modern storyteller writing about his perceptions of the world today, with this new album, you have that weary storyteller looking at the man he has become and the people around him. Not content with meeting expectations set out for country artists, the musical arrangements and lyrics on Grelle's fourth album continue his tradition of defying labels and expectations. Recorded and co-produced by Cooper Crain (Bitchin Bajas, CAVE) in Chicago, IL, there is an expansion on his classic honky-tonk stylings. Many songs reach new musical heights with a nod to the likes of Tom Petty, CCR and Doug Sahm. Inspired by tours and collaborations with Patrick Haggerty and Lavender Country (who released the world's first gay country album written in 1973) Grelle seems to acknowledge the history of the genre that influenced him while simultaneously disrupting it.

Fabric is wonderful - and so's everything else!

First off - amazing fabric. It's really flexible and - well, expands as needed - with a really great feel to it. Light fabric, which is just perfect; I'm the conductor of a symphony orchestra, and often like to wear this in white or black with a mandarin-collar jacket. Look is great, comfort is terrific. The sizing is spot-on and I hesitate to say that the price is ALSO excellent...just in case they see my review and conclude that they're charging too little for a really great shirt! Currently, I've purchased two each in white and black for professional use, but will probably get a few more in other colors for casual wear. A-OK!

The Look I Wanted.

I wear mandarin band collar shirts for semi-formal and/or holiday ballroom dances. This shirt was noted as a blend of 63% cotton, 35% poly and 3% spandex. The shirt is shiny and does not have the cotton feel. It is also so sheer that it shows my V-neck undershirt. It seems more of a women's blouse than man's shirt. The neck and sleeve lengths are good, but the body (Medium) is snug since what I rec'd (but did not want) is 'slim'. The seller's description stated the shirts are 'regular cut', but the package for this shirt said 'slim'. Disappointed in that I think the regular cut Medium would be a good fit. I have purchased this style shirt from several Amazon sellers, and all of them have different size issues, ie too tight, too large, long sleeves, etc, etc. I've returned ALL of them, but I have not decided to keep or return this one. The size charts shown on the sellers' webpage(s) are meaningless, so it becomes a situation of 'buy, try and then return'. I think that is why the webpages call out that these are items that are frequently returned!

Quality at your finger tips

Excellent choice... Price was "on point", material feels good and durable, size fit great, and most of all the colours were great. Actually purchased several. It's nice to receive a product as it is stated and I did. Recommend very much. Oh and, can be worn at various times of the year. Wash and hung to dry is recommended to preserve quality.
