Born in London, Scripps grew up in rural poverty on the Illinois prairie. She went from rags to riches, living out that cherished American story in which people pull themselves up by their bootstraps with audacity, hard work, and luck. She and her brother, E. W. Scripps, built America's largest chain of newspapers, linking midwestern industrial cities with booming towns in the West. Less well known today than the papers started by Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst, Scripps newspapers transformed their owners into millionaires almost overnight. By the 1920s Scripps was worth an estimated $30 million, most of which she gave away. She established the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, California, and appeared on the cover of Time magazine after founding Scripps College in Claremont, California. She also provided major financial support to organizations worldwide that promised to advance democratic principles and public education. Really effective!

I was totally blown away by how effective this was on my recent burn, I wish I had taken pictures. So much so that I did a deep dive into the ingredients and formula (I'm a nerd). My takeaway is that this is a bargain for the quality of ingredients and the care of the formula. The product absorbs quickly, is non-greasy, and relatively moisturizing and most of all, really effective. I personally appreciate the lack of any real scent or fragrance. I'm a big fan!

Not the results I expected

I sooo wanted to love this product; however, the results were not as I expected. Especially at this price point. I have sensitive skin & actually broke out, so maybe I am allergic to one of the ingredients or applied the product too thickly.
I’ve experienced better results with Coola’s Radical Recovery Organic After Sun Lotion which is only $32 for 5oz, so it’s definitely more cost effective & delivered better results in my opinion.

Could double as a sun safe Uruk-hai cosplay

This sunscreen is amazing. Was in the sun off and on all day. One thing though. Make sure you apply with a mirror in front of you or you may end up walking out the door looking like a Uruk-hai from LOTR. I was in an allfire, trying to get to the fun part of my day, and rushed putting it on. Just as I was about to leave the hotel room I caught myself in the mirror. Complete white hand print on my face where I hadn't rubbed it in well enough. So yeah, works amazing, no sunburn, and needs rubbed in well. LOL

The best sunscreen on the market
Size: 5 Ounce (Pack of 1), Style: SPF 50+
The best sunscreen I've ever used. I burn super easy, just 30 min outside without protection and I'll be a lobster the next day. I can apply this once in the morning and be protected all day.
Pros:
- Doesn't wear off quickly
- Haven't had a single sunburn since I started using it
- Doesn't have a strong chemical smell
- A little goes a long way
- Resists sweat well
Cons:
- Has a white cast so you really have to rub it in
- It doesn't sit light, you can definitely feel it on your skin
I would recommend this to anyone and everyone looking for sunscreen.
