The Starless Room represents a remarkable distillation of both Johnston's lyrical obsessions and prodigious, arguably under-acknowledged talent. Suitably, it's the title track that encapsulates the romantic sweep of the record best, with it's star at his most intense and Sebastian Hoffman's string arrangements at their most ambitious. For James Johnston, however, the greatest pleasure of all is a simple one: the slow tempo of the songs, "Something I adore, like a lot of the Isaac Hayes or Ray Charles albums that I love. It almost feels like I'm listening to someone else's record." Like he said, it feels just right. As well as playing with Gallon Drunk, James Johnston has spent considerable time working with others: A mid '90s spell as a touring guitarist in The Bad Seeds led to a full role in Nick Cave's band between 2003 and 2008, and he's performed regularly with other iconic acts, including Lydia Lunch, Faust, and PJ Harvey, on whose The Hope Six Demolition Project (2016) Johnston appears. But if it sounds like he's softened on this album, he argues powerfully otherwise: "The band's records have quite an earthy feel, but in a way this is rawer, more focused and direct, musically and emotionally. The last Gallon Drunk record is my favorite, and it was certain elements of that which I really wanted to take further, to strip away the dissonance and anger, to reject the more familiar sounds in order to free it all up again. So the instrumentation is very different, led by piano and voice, and the overall sound is lush, yet intimate. Overall it's far more reflective of me, both as a person and the sort of music I actually listen to."

High Quality Comfort!

This is definitely one of the most comfortable blankets I have ever owned. The material is thick, soft, warm, durable, and resistant to shedding & fibers breaking off. All of these favorable qualities work together to create optimal sleep conditions, and I would say it protects against cold temperatures in the environment (natural air & A/C, for example) very well. It is SO extremely cozy!!! It has become a comfort item of sorts, as well. It fits my Queen-sized bed absolutely perfectly. I've been searching for a blanket to fit my entire bed, and this blanket most definitely is the one.
When this blanket is nearby, it's nap time!
I love the the slightly raised texture of this blanket's material, and the checkered pattern adds a subtle, yet stylish touch to its overall appearance.

Loving my Bedsure Blanket

Very soft. Light Blue is more of a sky blue

Very soft, pretty thin, and a little stretchy. Overall, it looks nice. I would say it's a little thin for the colder weather, but great for the warmer months. I got the light blue, and it is a little more sky blue than true baby blue. I wish it were a true blue, but it's close enough that I'll keep it rather than go through the return process. I washed it, and little fuzzies came free, but nothing too alarming for a first wash. Hopefully, it doesn't do that every time. With how thin it is, there'll be nothing left eventually.

This blanket is so soft. This blanket has stretch to it which is nice for tucking under mattress. Easy to lay out and fits perfectly on a queen bed, perfect amount of hangover. Great quality blanket.
I did wash before I put on the bed and it did great. Shed in dryer but that’s easy clean up in vent.
No shedding on bed after washed. I laid on bed before washed and it only shed a small amount, not much.
