Minnesota in the '70sThe 1970s were more than big hair, mirror balls, and leisure suits. The 1970s were more than big hair, mirror balls, and leisure suits. These were the years that bridged the chasm between the anti-establishment tumult of the 1960s and the morning-in-America conservatism of the 1980s. In Minnesota, this evolution unfolded in ways that defied expectations. No longer was Minnesota merely a vague, snow-covered outpost in the American consciousness. It was a place of note and consequence--a state of presidential candidates, grassroots activism, civic engagement, environmental awareness, and Mary Tyler Moore. Its governor appeared on the cover of Time magazine. Its city skylines shot up with uncharacteristic immodesty. Its farmers enjoyed some of their best years ever. Minnesota forged an identity during the 1970s that would persist, rightly or wrongly, for decades to come.

This book tells the stories of people, places, and events that defined the state: colorful individuals, including Allan Spear, Arlene Lehto, Wendell Anderson, and Herb Brooks; significant groups like the Willmar 8, American Indian Movement, Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life, and Save the Met; and news-making events, including the first Earth Day, the Dayton's bombing, school desegregation battles, and highway construction protests. Richly illustrated with evocative photos, cartoons, and ephemera, this book helps bring the 1970s back to life.

Great fun & strong!!!
Size: Large (Pack of 1), Style: Stick Large
These are the best sticks ever! Our dogs chew and slobber all over these for sometimes an hour at a time. They like the “give” texture when they chew it. Imagine an indestructible, gummy bear! Because of their softness, they don’t end up with sharp edges or texture, although they are sturdy, and very durable. We have had these for our two dogs for close to a month now and it is their go to indoor to stick. The gentle squeak is not loud and obnoxious, but a playful sound that has them coming back for more with each chomp! If you love your dogs, this is the cheese stick for them. He’s also make an excellent fetch stick as they can go inside or outside. They wash off easily with water. This is a great investment, especially if you’ve been wasting your money replacing toys for strong jawed dogs!

New favorite toy!
I’ve bought this toy in the past and it lasted a long time. Yes, eventually Tigger did tear it apart (took a very long time) which is why I ordered him a new one. I love that this toy is perfect size for my 10lb Maltipoo. It’s not super hard like other ones I’ve bought in the past. Easy to wash once too much slobber has gotten on it. Just wash it by hand. It squeaks a lot which just takes getting used to if you love your pup having fun with it lol.
