Product Description - EDB24030 - Square D Bolt-On Circuit Breaker

Schneider Electric / Square D's EDB24030 bolt-on molded case circuit breaker is a reliable and easy-to-install device designed for use in Square D NF Panelboards. This circuit breaker is CSA-rated, HID-rated and HACR-rated, and UL Listed as High-Intensity Discharge.

The EDB24030 is a 2-pole bolt-on circuit breaker, rated at 30A at a system voltage of 480Y/277V AC. The circuit breaker has a thermal-magnetic trip unit and a signal indicator to indicate when a trip occurred. The device has a hold current of 270A (the maximum current the breaker can be held at to ensure a trip will occur) and a trip current of 875A (the current value when the breaker is guaranteed to trip).

Square D's EDB24030 circuit breaker is calibrated for 40 degrees C and has aluminum lugs with a terminal lug rating of AWG 12...AWG 6 (aluminum) and AWG 14...AWG 6 (copper).

Affordable protection plan and superb customer care
I usually don’t buy extended warranty, but I took a chance and added a 4-year Asurion Protection Plan to my purchase of a Canon PIXMA printer. So glad I did!! After only a year and a half, my printer showed an error message 6800. Cannon website states “Support code 6800 generally indicates a failure with the logic board on your printer. Service will be required.” How convenient for that to happen shortly out of Canon’s regular 1-year warranty (🙄). I called Canon. Long story short…they couldn’t do anything for me unless I purchase a warranty plan from them and they send me a replacement or I would need to pay for a repair. No thanks. I called Asurion and talked to a very nice tech support person. She couldn’t get rid of the error message remotely, so she transferred me to another very nice support specialist, who helped me start a repair claim. Asurion mailed me a box with a lot of packing material, along with shipping instructions and label to ship my printer to them for free. A few days into the repair process, they determined my Canon printer was unrepairable and they emailed me an Amazon gift card that same day for the cost of my crappy Canon printer. They were in total communication via email throughout the repair process. I highly recommend Asurion, and I would definitely purchase another protection plan from them again.
