Dent Reaper Dead Center Hex Tabs – Precision PDR Glue Tabs for Superior Dent Repair

Paintless dent repair (PDR) is a skilled craft requiring the right tools to achieve flawless results. Among these tools, glue tabs are essential for pulling dents without harming the vehicle’s finish. The Dent Reaper Dead Center Hex Tabs stand out in the PDR market by combining cutting-edge technology with smart design enhancements, offering technicians the control, strength, and reliability needed for even the most delicate dent repairs.

These tabs build on the patented Dead Center Technology developed by KECO, augmented with design input from renowned PDR professional Jon Videen of Dent Reaper. This collaboration has resulted in a product that addresses the common challenges faced by PDR techs—especially in controlling overpulling, securing reliable glue adhesion, and working on sharp creases or panel edges.

Patented Dead Center Technology: Focused Power Without Damage

The hallmark feature of these tabs is the patented Dead Center Technology. This technology optimizes the ratio between the neck diameter and the face thickness of the tab. What does this mean for the technician?

  • The center of the tab’s face is thicker and more rigid, which focuses the lifting force precisely where it is needed.

  • The edges of the tab remain flexible, allowing the tab to bend slightly during pulls and avoid putting too much pressure on the panel edges.

  • This balanced design prevents overpulling, a major concern that can lead to stretched metal or paint damage.

This intelligent balance of rigidity and flexibility means the tabs pull dents more cleanly and faster, reducing overall repair time and increasing efficiency.

Hexagonal Shape: Stability and Durability Combined

Unlike traditional round glue tabs, the hexagonal shape of the Dent Reaper Dead Center Tabs brings significant advantages:

  • The hex shape increases rigidity of the entire tab, which means more consistent and powerful pulls.

  • It prevents rolling and slipping on the panel, especially on edges and creases.

  • The shape fits snugly against tight contours, providing improved glue contact and stability.

  • The hex design ensures better grip on difficult-to-access dents, giving techs more confidence in precision repairs.

This shape is ideal for panel edges, narrow creases, and other challenging repair locations that demand a firm, steady pull without slippage.

Stepped Tab Thickness: Enhanced Pulling Force and Adhesion

The stepped thickness design means the tab face is not flat but features a controlled step. This provides two main benefits:

  • Greater glue surface area: The stepped design increases the area where glue can bond, improving adhesion strength and reducing the chance of tabs popping off during pulls.

  • Increased pulling force: By concentrating the pull in the center and supporting it with a larger surface, the step provides a more effective energy transfer to the dent.

This design reduces wasted effort and frustration from failed pulls, making the repair process smoother and more predictable.

KECO Ice Material: Engineered for Strength and Longevity

The material used in glue tabs plays a crucial role in their effectiveness. The Dent Reaper Dead Center Hex Tabs utilize KECO Ice Material, which is known for:

  • High rigidity and strength, which maximizes energy transfer from the pulling tool to the dent.

  • Durability to withstand repeated pulls, maintaining shape and performance over time.

  • Resistance to deformation during pulls, ensuring consistent results.

  • The material also minimizes residue and is easy to clean off once the repair is finished.

This blend of properties ensures that techs get the best balance of power and reliability from their tabs, making them a smart investment for professionals focused on quality.

Versatile Sizes for Various Repairs

Dent Reaper Dead Center Hex Tabs are available in multiple sizes to cover a wide range of dent types and panel shapes. Common sizes include small tabs for tight creases and detailed work, and larger tabs for broader dents or softer surfaces.

Having a variety of sizes ensures:

  • Optimal tab selection for each repair, improving outcomes.

  • Ability to tackle everything from small hail damage to more severe creases.

  • Flexibility to adapt to different vehicle makes and models.

Professionals appreciate having this range, as it means fewer tool swaps and less downtime.

Applications and Use Cases

The Dent Reaper Dead Center Hex Tabs excel in various PDR scenarios:

  • Crease and valley repairs: The design reaches deep into sharp panel folds and creases.

  • Panel edge pulls: The hex shape prevents rolling, enabling effective edge dent removal.

  • Small and medium hail dents: The strength and grip provide clean pulls without surface damage.

  • Detailed body work: Ideal for spots that require precise control and minimal risk of paint issues.

Whether working on domestic, European, or Asian vehicles, these tabs fit seamlessly into any PDR toolkit.

Compatibility with Popular PDR Tools

Dent Reaper Dead Center Hex Tabs are designed for broad compatibility, especially with popular glue pulling tools including:

  • KECO Robo® Mini Lifters and Dent Guns

  • Slide hammers designed for glue pulls

  • Standard and specialty glue pulling systems using 3/8” threaded adapters

This ensures technicians do not have to change their preferred tools to take advantage of these tabs’ advanced design.

Benefits for PDR Technicians

  • Reduced knockdown time: Faster dent removal with less risk of damage.

  • Cleaner pulls: Flex at edges minimizes paint stress.

  • Improved control: Hex shape and stepped face give confidence during tough pulls.

  • Longer-lasting tabs: Ice material means fewer replacements.

  • Versatility: Works on creases, edges, hail, and more.

These benefits combine to improve job quality and technician productivity, which leads to higher customer satisfaction and better business outcomes.

Summary

The Dent Reaper Dead Center Hex Tabs are a must-have for paintless dent repair professionals who demand the best. By combining patented Dead Center Technology, a strong hexagonal design, stepped tab thickness, and the proven KECO Ice Material, these tabs offer unmatched performance in precision dent pulling. They prevent overpulling, deliver powerful lifts, and protect delicate vehicle finishes. With a variety of sizes and compatibility with major PDR tools, they fit seamlessly into any professional setup. Understand your loss. Celebrate your gain. Live!
Format: Kindle
A quick look at what makes us human; our principal line of relationship to the Cosmos. Maybe not always reverent, but always livable and believable. This is a book, a primer, on how to deal with the mess of life. Written with enough seriousness and tongue-in-cheek humor to be readable and thought provoking.

An Invitation into the Heart of Reality
Format: Kindle
I love reading Anne Lamott. She helps me feel that it’s okay to be human. She helps me see that prayer is human. It’s the most natural thing you can do. And, really, everybody does it, whether they know it or not. In this delightful book, Ms. Lamott reflects on what she calls three essential prayers: help, thanks, and wow! Such human expressions! She invites us, the readers, into her perspective on life, infused as it is with both the mundane and the mysterious. There are times when it is even threatening. But we are not alone. We have each other, and we have God. (Or, better, God has us.). I don’t know that Ms. Lamott would want to be called an optimist, but she certainly sees the good in the bad (or, maybe after the bad). Life is both, she seems to say, but all is okay. So we ask for help when we’re wise enough (or desperate enough) to do so—both for ourselves and others. And we say thanks because life is full of reasons to be grateful. And there is so much beauty around us—and tragedy too—that we cannot help but erupt with wow! I urge you to read this book. Perhaps, as you read it, you will feel as I did reading it, that you are in a conversation with someone very wise and very compassionate and very real.

Another Thanks and Wow by Anne Lamott!
Format: Hardcover
I was first introduced to Anne Lamott's writing about 25 years ago when I read her book, Bird by Bird. It was a book about how to write and from that moment she became one of my favorite authors. Help, Thanks, Wow is a wonderful book that I have underlined and reread over and over again. Her writing has a voice that many of us can relate to. It's honest and you can feel her pain. She writes with humor to balance the good with the bad. Something that is so important to learn as we go through life. Her descriptions help you see, feel, and smell when she describes "autumn...the colors are broccoli and flame and fox fur. The tang is apples. The rot smells faintly of grapes..." She tells us how to ask for help when you can't do it all by yourself, but how important it is to say thank you, thank you, thank you and Wow for all the things you are grateful for. I loved when she wrote about how service to others is joy ,but how important it is to be kind to yourself. One of my favorite passages was this one, "This morning at six when I awoke, loneliness was sitting on my chest like a dental X-ray apron, even though I was buried in hairy dog love. Help, I am sad and lonely, and already it looks like today is going to be too long. I prayed...I did a kindness to myself, as I would have a troubled friend..." Her descriptions are all like this one and easy to relate to. I loved this book and have given it to friends who have then bought it for other friends. It is definitely a WOW!!!!

Not bad, but not my cup of tea
Format: Hardcover
After seeing Anne Lamott on TV, I was impressed with her and checked out this book on Amazon. The reviews were good, so I ordered it. I was a bit disappointed on receiving it, as I didn't like the shape of the book (too small) and I didn't like the type style (too hard to read). Then, I struggled to get into the book. I like to highlight insights in inspirational books, and I simply didn't find anything to highlight in this one. I think Anne Lamott is a lovely person and I understand how a lot of people liked this book. However, it just didn't bring any new insights to the table for me and it wasn't written in a way that I found compelling. The good news is, it wasn't too hard to finish, since it is short. I passed it on to someone I hope will enjoy it.

I Just Want to Read It Again!
Format: Hardcover
***** What a brilliant book! When I first received "Help, Thanks, Wow: The Three Essential Prayers" I too was so disappointed that it was such a small book--tiny, short, maybe an hour's read. Ah, but what an hour! Precious. And to be completely truthful, this book actually took me several hours to read, because I had to put it down, think, cry, laugh, and even--yes--pray. This book is worth your time and attention. I am so glad that I have it in hardback because I will keep it forever and reread it regularly; I am finished reading it and I just want to read it all over again. It is a book about getting through life. It is rich, raw, funny (hilarious, like all Annie Lamott) and written in language so stunning I would have to stop and just read and reread sentences. I feel as though my life has been broken open with a whole new attitude towards prayer, and even more, towards being alive. This is not a religious book at all, but a book for anyone who is spiritually-oriented and maybe especially for those who aren't, because the author writes about prayer in a way that every single person can relate to. This is a book about being real and true and simple and clear and about living a worthwhile life. Don't miss this book. Highly recommended. *****
