This is a memoir that begins in 1978 and jumps back to the 1960s before coming back to the present again. It is the story of a child born with cystic fibrosis, the beginning and life of a child who was raised to live and be happy, not to hide and prepare for the end. She was a vibrant child whose life made a difference to family members and written as a tribute so that her brother and sister could learn to know their older sister. Cystic fibrosis is a life debilitating disease that often affects children and sometimes is not diagnosed until early childhood. The author's daughter was diagnosed the day she was born.

Chrissy has Cystic Fibrosis. The Mayo Clinic defined the children's disease as a life-threatening disorder that causes severe damage to the lungs and digestive system. It is an inherited condition and affects the cells that produce mucus, sweat and digestive juices. These secreted fluids are normally thin and slippery. But in Cystic Fibrosis, a defective gene causes the secretions to become thick and sticky. Instead of acting as a lubricant, the secretions plug up tubes, ducts and passageways, especially in the lungs and pancreas. Cystic Fibrosis is most common in white people of Northern European ancestry, but also occurs in Hispanics, African-Americans and some Native Americans. It is rare in people of Asian and Middle Eastern origin. Cystic Fibrosis requires daily care, most people with the condition are able to attend school and with treatment, many children have lived into young adulthood.

The memoir brings this young girl from infancy until she gives up the fight. Her mother's life is turbulent until she learns to stand on her own two feet at the age of twenty three years old. Trials and tribulations, lots of baggage and a strong will to live, smile and dream brings the story to fruition.

Exactly what I was looking for.
Color: Brown, Size: 3 Panel, Color: Brown, Size: 3 Panel
Although other reviews found this item was too lightweight and flimsy, frankly it was exactly what I was looking for. I needed to partition my workspace off from the rest of the room and I wanted something that I could easily attach to the back of an unfinished bookcase as part of creating a private space. It was perfect. Lightweight easy to handle and I didn't mind putting some nails through it. Great price point for what I needed.

Made cheaply.
Color: White, Size: 3 Panel
Seems fairly sturdy ( 3 panel white) but made with extremely cheap materials that will not last. The cheap materials are very noticeable with the white screen. No assembly needed. Would not but again.

Beautiful brown privacy screen!
Color: Brown, Size: 3 Panel, Color: Brown, Size: 3 Panel
Why did you pick this product vs others?: The measurements were perfect for what I was looking for.  The length and width are the same as my rattan raised garden bed which I have placed in front of the screen on the deck.  This secures the screen so there is no issue of weather conditions. I have been looking for weeks for a privacy screen at every possible product and combination. and almost gave up when I noticed the measurements of the screen would fit behind my raised bed!  Now I am going to plant some flowers in it.  This is a terrific buy for me.  i am so happy! Looks great: The perfect size, color, and design match my brown deck rattan furniture. Ease of assembly: No assembly which is nice in this hot weather! Room divider: It provides much needed privacy

Attractive well made and balanced
Color: Dark Mocha, Size: 3 Panel, Color: Dark Mocha, Size: 3 Panel
It would be extravagant to purchase another 3 panel divider but had gotten it so I didn’t have to look at the hallway from where I sit in the living room. It is stable. The taller size comes with a hefty shipping fee equal to the purchase price. This blocks the hallway and is attractive. My cat can push one panel to get through the passage without tipping the screen. The walnut color is a complement so I will keep it (even though I think it is overpriced
