MEDITERRANEAN WAVES(CVLD044)

1. SWALLOWS 9’50”
Italy - R. Vigagni
Solos: Lorenzo Frizzera, guitar / Pepito Ros, alto sax
Special Guest: Stefan Milenkovic, violin
These are migratory birds, "foreigners", whose numbers have almost halved in the last twenty years. They live between Africa and Europe, crossing borders without needing a passport: why is this not granted to humans? It is a dance in 5/4.

2. YOU WERE NOT MADE (...to live like brutes, but to pursue virtue and knowledge) 1’10”
Italy - R. Vigagni
Solo: Fiorenzo Zeni, tenor sax
This is the first Dante quote and also the main theme. (Inferno - Canto XXVI)

3. ZEBEKIKO 6’17”
Greece - T. Bitaah
Solos: Luigi Grata, trombone / Giorgio Beberi, baritone sax / Paolo Trettel, trumpet
The country of origin is Greece, represented by this “noble” folk dance. I drew a large part of the composition from a song sung by Taykeria Bitaah, with lyrics about the despair and disappointment resulting from society.

4. THE HIGH OPEN SEA 1’39”
Italy - R.Vigagni
Solo: Walter Civettini, flugelhorn
Second quote (note the cyclical nature of the vowels). This marks the beginning of the journey and the abandonment of previous certainties. (Inferno - Canto XXVI)

5. NUBIAN DREAM 5’58”
Egypt - A.Sharara
Solo: Fiorenzo Zeni, soprano sax
It is an ancient region south of mysterious Egypt, where the musician engages with a Cairo dance composed by Hattia Sharara. Originally, the dance is performed with local instruments; our version is transformed and re-colored without philological constraints.

6. WAVES 2’01”
Italy - R. Vigagni
Solo: Pepito Ros, alto sax
It marks the resumption of the sea voyage towards ex-Yugoslavia.

7. MAXUTU 5’21”
Macedonia - Kociani Orkestar
Solos: Luigi Grata, trombone / Walter Civettini, flugelhorn / Fiorenzo Zeni, tenor sax / Stefano Chesini, flute / Lorenzo Frizzera, guitar / Giuliana Beberi, voice / Renzo Vigagni, keyboards
It is an elaboration of a theme by the Macedonian band "Kociani Orkestar". The country, its inhabitants, and its music are tragically marked by devastating nationalistic wars and ethnic rivalries. The text states: "if you want peace, do not prepare for war." Military personnel, however, reason in the opposite direction.

8. SIRENS 3’06”
Italy - R. Vigagni
Solos: Pepito Ros, soprano sax / Luigi Grata, trombone
As he resumes his journey, Ulysses must resist the allure of mass media and commercial temptations, which could compromise the meaning of his journey of inner knowledge.

9. ALLERIA 4’29”
Italy - P. Daniele
Solos: Stefano Chesini, flute / Lorenzo Frizzera, acoustic guitar / Gianni Mascotti, flugelhorn
Pino Daniele, Naples, the sun and the feelings of the warm South... there is so much beauty in the Mediterranean....

10. WINGS TO THE FOOLISH FLIGHT 2’09”
Italy - R. Vigagni
Solos: Luigi Grata, trombone / Fiorenzo Zeni, tenor sax
Third quote, with a wonderful interplay of consonants. (Inferno - Canto XXVI)

11. PINAR HONDO 5’47”
Spain - C.Dominguez
Solos: Lorenzo Frizzera, acoustic guitar / Renzo Vigagni, piano / Stefano Colpi, double bass
Spain, Andalusia, the gypsies and the Arabs, flamenco. Theme taken from Chano Dominguez's CD: "Echo a mano".

12. BEYOND THE DREAM 9’58”
Italy - R.Vigagni
Solos: Pepito Ros, alto sax / Luigi Grata, trombone / Renzo Vigagni, piano / Fiorenzo Zeni, tenor sax /
Special guest: Stefan Milenkovic, violin
A piece based almost entirely on two rhythmic cycles of 21/4 and 17/4. After this journey, Ulysses has come to realize that Ithaca is not just a geographical place, but also a huge reservoir of life that resides in the hearts of the people he met during his earthly existence. A piece that embodies our true dreams in reality. The song "Oltre il sogno" (Beyond the Dream) is affectionately dedicated to the honest search for truth by journalist Ilaria Alpi, murdered in Somalia in 1994. For her and for her parents, as a small sign of solidarity and sharing.

Thanks to A.T.A.S Onlus "Associazione Trentina Accoglienza Stranieri" (Trentino Association for the Welcome of Foreigners), for the tracks "Nubian Dream" and "Maxutu", and to Clara Lotti and Maria Stoffella Fendros for the track "Zebekiko". Thanks to the musicians and to all who collaborated and believed in this project.

Nice Product

Super Handy and So Stylish — A Must-Have for Any Kitchen! I’m really impressed with the Sinnsally Kitchen Sponge Holder! It’s simple, practical, and makes keeping my sink area neat so much easier. The 2-tier design is brilliant — the top shelf holds my sponges perfectly, while the bottom area keeps scrubbers and brushes organized and easily accessible. The stainless steel looks sleek and modern, and it has held up beautifully with daily use. Water drains well so everything dries quickly, and cleanup is a breeze. No more soggy sponges sitting around! Installation was quick and easy — it fits nicely right by the sink without taking up too much space. This little holder has made a big difference in keeping my kitchen tidy. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a clean, organized sink area with a touch of style!

Great space saver
Color: 2 Tier-Black
I love how this makes my sink so much more organized. For me, it holds a 20oz dish soap, a dish spray, 2 S.O.S. pads, 2 sponges, a steel wool scrubber, a bottle brush, a Stanley cap cleaner, and a sink stopper. I could still fit more if I wanted to. I can move the tall brush holder to whichever side I want, as well as the divider. It was super easy to put together, and functions well by draining all the drips right into my sink, instead of behind it. The black looks great and matches my kitchen well. This organized is built well and keeps mynsink area tidy and hygienic.

It Looks Nice and It Works
Color: 1 Tier-Black
I like it. It is too long for my sink area, but it still works. Next to my sink is a dish rack. One half of the caddy fits perfectly behind it, holding a 16oz bottle of dish soap and a 16oz bottle of multi-surface cleaner. The part of the caddy that fits on my sink ledge holds a sponge, scrubber and scouring pad, The caddy works great at keeping the ledge dry. It is a very nice, well-designed item. I recommend this caddy it's keeps everything organized and dry.

Good for organization, looks neat!
Color: 2 Tier-Black
I've had this for almost a year now and expect to have it for a few more; seems very durable. The drain board thingy requires consistent cleaning every few days, but its done in less than two minutes. I usually wash the entire thing every two weeks to keep it shiny as well. I am seeing a little bit of rust, but it's not too much and it's not noticeable if you don't look for it. It's great for organization and was easy to assemble. A very sturdy and well-sized product.
