It requires no batteries and works with TRRS-equipped iOS/Android mobile devices.

Snap-on magnetic mounting ensures fast and easy attachment to your device, even if it has a case. The dedicated 3.5mm TRS headphone port lets you monitor real-time audio with compatible applications, so you can hear the quality of your signal as you record it. If there is no 3.5mm port on your smartphone or tablet, the addition of a Lightning (or USB Type-C) to 3.5mm headphone adapter (available separately) will provide compatibility with the iRig Mic Cast 2. The iRig Mic Cast 2 includes a 3.5mm TRRS audio cable and a windscreen, which reduces wind noise during outdoor shoots.
