Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur (375ml)

A benchmark bottle from Luxardo, still made in Italy using the original family recipe dating back to the 1800s. It’s distilled from Marasca cherries—including the skins, pulp, pits, and leaves—then aged in ash wood vats, which keeps the spirit clear while building texture and complexity.

The nose is lifted and aromatic, with sour cherry, almond, and a faint floral edge. On the palate, it’s lightly sweet but structured, showing flavors of candied cherry, orange peel, and a distinct nutty note from the pits that gives it length and grip.

A foundational cocktail ingredient—essential in classics like the Aviation and Last Word—but also worth revisiting on its own or with a splash of soda. Balanced, distinctive, and far more nuanced than most cherry liqueurs on the shelf.
