The Transfiguration of Christ: An Exegetical and Theological ReadingAll three Synoptic Gospels tell the story of Jesus's transfiguration. Yet there has been surprisingly little written about this key event, and many readers struggle to understand its significance and place in redemptive history, let alone how it might be applied. Here, Patrick Schreiner provides a clear and accessible study of the transfiguration with an eye toward its theological significance and practical application. Namely, this event points to

All three Synoptic Gospels tell the story of Jesus's transfiguration. Yet there has been surprisingly little written about this key event, and many readers struggle to understand its significance and place in redemptive history, let alone how it might be applied. Here, Patrick Schreiner provides a clear and accessible study of the transfiguration with an eye toward its theological significance and practical application. Namely, this event points to Jesus's double sonship, revealing the preexistent glory of the eternal Son and the future glory of the suffering Messianic Son. Further, the transfiguration points to Christians' own formation and transfiguration. Schreiner traces the transfiguration theme through Scripture and employs hermeneutical, trinitarian, and christological categories to assist his exegesis, thus challenging modern readings

______________

Patrick Schreiner (PhD, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) is associate professor of New Testament and biblical theology at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is also an elder at Emmaus Church in Kansas City, Missouri. He is the author of numerous books, including Matthew, Disciple and Scribe, a commentary on Acts, The Ascension of Christ, The Mission of the Triune God, The Visual Word, Political Gospel, and The Kingdom of God and the Glory of the Cross.

______________

"Pondered as an isolated event, the transfiguration makes very little sense to us. Schreiner has learned the secret: don't isolate it, but instead read it as having elements of both epiphany and apotheosis, preexistence and consummation, eternal sonship and messianic sonship. A spirited and energetic introduction to this neglected mystery of the life of Jesus." Fred Sanders, professor of theology, Torrey Honors College, Biola University

Elevates your wrist
Color: Right - Black, Size: Large, Color: Right - Black, Size: Large
This is a great tool. No wrist pain day 1. It elevates your wrist to level with the mouse so there’s no backward strain. Takes a little getting use to but well worth no pain.

It's hard af.
Color: Right - Grey, Size: Small, Color: Right - Grey, Size: Small
Edit: just realized Amazon sent me a left handed one! I got this one and the g2 or whatever with the strap. The g2 is great. This one is hard though. The edges of the rest thingy. And the edges in the middle where it splits are annoying. Idk if it's a difference in the rubber pads or what. Even if this works for wrist pain, it's not worth it for the palm discomfort.

Ergonomic and effective, but requires adjustment.
Color: Right - White, Size: Large
Bought this for improving wrist posture during long hours at the desk. What I like • The ergonomic design helps reduce wrist strain, especially during extended typing sessions. • The right-handed orientation is comfortable and natural to use. • High-quality build, feels sturdy and durable. What could be better • It takes some time to adjust to the unique design, especially if you’re used to traditional mice. • The size may not be suitable for people with smaller hands. • It could be a bit pricey compared to other ergonomic mice on the market. Bottom line: A great investment for improving wrist posture and reducing strain, but it might not be for everyone due to the learning curve and price. Perfect for users looking to enhance ergonomics, but consider alternatives if you have smaller hands or need a more budget-friendly option.

It’s painful. Not worth it.
Color: Right - Grey, Size: Small, Color: Right - Grey, Size: Small
I hate it. Period. Very strong feelings about it right out of the box. Gave it a few days, and not only do I still hate it but it’s very painful to use. The rubber material is hard and has pressure points that make you come away feeling like you’ve rested your wrist on the edge of a table for too long. I come away more sore using this than not. They only have small and large sizes, I think the small is too small for me? (I’m not sure. I can tell it doesn’t fit well, but I can’t tell if it’s because it’s too small or the shape isn’t right for my wrist). In any event, I am sure the large would be too large and even if they had a medium size I still wouldn’t repurchase this. Maybe if you’ve got some meat on your bones it would be more comfortable but as you can see, I am a very thin person and this is pressing on all the wrong places. I also feel like the center valley part contributes to carpal tunnel pain because the very firm edges of each side rested right in that area, not offering any support to the valley of the wrist, and therefore creating pressure to that nerve center and the ligaments. I don’t know why they chose this material, it’s too firm. Also, I think a better design would be a little tab from the center of it sticking out and then attaching to the bottom of the mouse so that both mouse and the wrist “support” worked as one unit when moving the mouse around. I often found that I didn’t drag the wrist piece with my mouse well and that it caused even more issues. If it were comfortable I would have made a little tab myself and connected the mouse and the wrist rest together, but as it’s extremely not even remotely comfortable I’m not bothering and I’ve already started the return process.
