This fully electronic airbag system pushes the boundaries of innovation, thanks to its supercapacitor technology.
Supercapacitors give the Patrol E2 Airbag a lot of functionality. It charges via a wall plug-in and holds its charge for a number of days, then it is re-chargeable on hill via the 2 AA batteries. This gives the bag zero-cost user practice, and the ability to re-charge while out on a multi-day trip.
Where previous airbags have had limitations travelling, (gas canisters and lithium-ion batteries do not fly well), the Alpride E2 system is a breeze. De-charge the supercapacitors, disconnect the handle and go. Then plug it all back in when you land and you are fully functional again.
