Pro-Tip: The centering bit is designed only for starting the hole. Once the core bit has cut a groove approximately 1/8 to 1/4 inch deep into the concrete, stop the hammer, remove the centering bit, and then continue drilling. Leaving the pilot bit in for the entire depth can cause the bit to bind or break.
