De hoeveelheid prachtige en bijzondere muziek er in Brazilië is gemaakt lijkt ongeëvenaard, waarbij er ieder jaar wel een vergeten ‘meesterwerk’ uit de hoogtijdagen van de jaren '60 en '70 opnieuw wordt uitgebracht. Estrelando Embaixador valt zeker in deze categorie, al maken de overstuurde drums, psychedelische gitaar, studio trucage en Afrikaanse invloeden deze LP uniek. De opname is het resultaat van een geïmproviseerde sessie samengesteld door een acteur met de bijnaam Embaixador (de ambassadeur) in de hoop zijn carrière nieuw leven in te blazen. Vijftig jaar later krijgt deze mythische LP eindelijk de verdiende aandacht.
