Deze klassieke, gehamerde klankschaal heeft een eigen, bijzondere klank. De samenstelling van 8 metalen, samen met de diameter en dikte van de schaal, bepaalt de unieke klankkleur en boventonen. Hierdoor is elke klankschaal echt een eigen ritueelobject.

De schaal is met de hand gemaakt van koper, tin en acht edele metalen (Ag, Ni, Cd, Ru, Pd, Pt, Cr, Mn).
Je ontvangt de schaal assorti, met of zonder gravering aan de bovenrand.

Uitgebreide beschrijving
Het maken van gehamerde klankschalen is een zorgvuldig en volledig handmatig proces. Elke schaal wordt met aandacht en precisie in de juiste vorm gehamerd, door meerdere stappen heen, om zo een heldere toon te creëren. Eerst worden de metalen (koper, tin, ijzer, lood, goud en zilver) gesmolten. Koper en tin vormen samen brons, de basis voor deze schalen. Kleine hoeveelheden van de andere metalen zorgen voor de bijzondere klanktonen van de zeven metalen schalen. Het gesmolten metaal wordt in mallen gegoten. Vervolgens worden er schijven gesneden, in verschillende diameters en diktes, die de basis vormen voor de klankschaal.

Daarna volgt het handmatige hamerproces, waarbij de schijven in de juiste vorm en grootte worden gevormd. Vijf schijven worden op elkaar gelegd en tot roodgloeiend verwarmd. Pas als het metaal heet genoeg is, kan het op de mal in komvorm worden gehamerd. Koelt het metaal te snel af, dan wordt het broos en kan het scheuren, dus het is een precies en kwetsbaar proces.

Als de basisvorm er is, begint het fijne werk. De schaal wordt opnieuw roodgloeiend gemaakt om met fijn hamerwerk haar uiteindelijke vorm en klank te krijgen. Tot slot worden de schalen zorgvuldig van binnen en van buiten geschuurd, gepolijst en soms met beitels bewerkt, voor een warme en zuivere uitstraling.

Fun, engaging dog toy that keeps pets entertained, but battery life could be better

I’ve been using the ITEHZTO Interactive Dog Ball Automatic Dog Toy for my dog, and overall it’s been a great way to keep him active and engaged, especially when I’m busy or not able to play fetch. The different play modes are a nice feature, and the unpredictable movement really grabs his attention. It does a good job of encouraging exercise and mental stimulation. The USB-C charging is convenient, and I appreciate not having to mess with batteries. The size is also good for small to medium dogs, and it feels durable enough to handle regular play. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the battery life doesn’t last as long as I expected, especially when using the more active modes. Also, on harder flooring it can be a bit noisy as it bounces around. Overall, it’s a fun and useful interactive toy that my dog genuinely enjoys. With slightly longer battery life and quieter operation, it would easily be a 5-star product.

Great stimulation for a 'busy' pup

I’ll admit I was a little skeptical since my German Shepherd is well over the recommended weight limit for this ball, but it’s been a huge hit. Even though it’s technically for smaller breeds, it has held up remarkably well so far. I’ve mostly kept it on the gentle mode, and that’s more than enough to grab her attention and keep her occupied for quite a while. The design is actually much tougher than the warnings suggest; the two halves screw together so securely that she hasn't been able to pry it open, which is impressive for a tough chewer. It’s been a great way to keep her mentally engaged indoors without worrying about the toy falling apart immediately.

Recommended for Small, Mellower Dogs, not the destructive, chewy kind

My dog loved this ball, maybe a little too much. He attacked it like it was a wild animal and left teeth marks and tears in the outer plastic. I decided to give it to my cats instead, who initially were very intrigued by it. The buff kitty even chirped to see it. He would roll around with it as it vibrated and hopped, but after a while he wasn’t that interested. I think I can get them to play with it if I don’t use it with them every day, maybe wait a few weeks between playtimes. Perhaps it is a little too large for cats. My dog, who is less than 30 lbs., might be too big for it, or maybe just his mouth is, or maybe because he’s a Boston Terrier and he always feels like it’s his duty to destroy all toys (all my Bostons were like that). But I don’t think I will let him have it again. Maybe a toy breed or puppy might be more of the appropriate size for this ball. Or someone who isn’t as destructive. The instructions are almost unreadable because the text is so small. I couldn’t understand what I was supposed to do with the “installation process.” I did figure out how to turn it on and off by myself, however. There are four modes when it is on: gentle, normal, active, and lighting only (no vibration). As a human, it is a fun thing to watch, even if it is just for the light show.
