Frank Sinatra’s klassieke album uit 1956, Songs For Swingin’ Lovers!, wordt op 27 maart opnieuw uitgebracht in de geprezen Tone Poet Audiophile Vinyl Series van Blue Note, ter gelegenheid van de 70e verjaardag van de plaat. Deze nieuwe editie is geproduceerd door Joe Harley en gemasterd door Kevin Gray vanaf de originele analoge mastertapes. Het album is geperst op 180-grams vinyl bij Record Technology Inc. (RTI) en wordt geleverd in een luxe 'gatefold tip-on' hoes met studiosessiefoto's van William Claxton en Ken Veeder.

Na zijn melancholische meesterwerk In The Wee Small Hours zorgde de legendarische zanger met het uitbundige Songs For Swingin’ Lovers! voor een aanzienlijk vrolijkere toon. Samen vormen deze twee albums een boeiende dualiteit: waar de eerste de hartenpijn van een verloren liefde bezingt, viert de tweede de vreugde van een nieuwe romance. Het album werd opgenomen in de KHJ Studios van Capitol in Hollywood, opnieuw geproduceerd door Voyle Gilmore, en bevat prachtige Nelson Riddle-arrangementen van Great American Songbook-klassiekers zoals "You Make Me Feel So Young", "I’ve Got You Under My Skin" en meer.

De verwachtingen voor meer Sinatra-titels in de Tone Poet-serie zijn hoog gespannen sinds de heruitgave van In The Wee Small Hours vorig jaar, die met veel lof werd ontvangen. Stereophile gaf die uitgave de maximale 5-sterrenscore voor zowel de uitvoering als de geluidskwaliteit. Recensent Sasha Matson schreef enthousiast: "Ik heb Frank nog nooit zo horen klinken. I'd like to believe that the Kong ball she has and this ball are made of the same material. Because they are the only balls she can't ruin. And it's not because of a lack of trying. We have watched her sit there and chew with a side of her mouth for an hour or more, trying to make some kind of indention or tear in it and it just never happened. She loves to chew this thing, chase this thing, sleep with this thing. I most certainly recommend this ball. If it is I'ah proof then it is most certainly, 100% a durable ball and worth every penny
