Waarvoor wordt Spirulina gebruikt?

Spirulina wordt gebruikt als aanvulling bij behoefte aan extra energie en uithoudingsvermogen, bijvoorbeeld bij sport, lichamelijke inspanning of een actieve dagindeling. Door de aanwezigheid van B-vitamines, vezels en eiwitten wordt spirulina vaak toegepast ter ondersteuning van het energieniveau en het herstel na inspanning.

Daarnaast wordt spirulina gebruikt ter ondersteuning van het immuunsysteem. De alg bevat van nature antioxidanten en omega 3 vetzuren, die bijdragen aan de bescherming van lichaamscellen tegen oxidatieve stress. Door deze eigenschappen wordt spirulina veel gebruikt door sporters en mensen die bewust bezig zijn met voeding en gezondheid.

Samenstelling en voedingswaarde

Spirulina bevat een brede mix van vitamines, mineralen en essentiële voedingsstoffen. Het supplement is rijk aan B-vitamines, vezels en mineralen zoals calcium, waarbij spirulina tot wel drie keer meer calcium kan bevatten dan volle melk.

Daarnaast bevat spirulina 11 vitamines, 10 mineralen en 18 aminozuren, waaronder alle essentiële aminozuren. De aanwezigheid van omega 3 vetzuren en antioxidanten draagt bij aan de hoge voedingswaarde.
