Raymond (de butler van Descole) begroet hen en vraagt de professor te helpen bij het zoeken van een route naar Froenborg. Na het oplossen van de eerste puzzel, stijgt de Bostonius op, op weg naar avontuur.

Eenmaal aangekomen gaan ze de stad verkennen en uiteindelijk vinden ze de ingang van een verborgen grot. Daar vinden ze een meisje die is gevangen in het ijs. Ze lijkt een verband te hebben met de verloren Azran beschaving maar kan zich hier niks meer van herinneren. Ze is de enige overlevende van het mysterie dat de Azran beschaving heeft doen verdwijnen.

Het meisje word vervolgens ontvoert door Bronev met een Targent luchtschip, Layton en co. zetten de achtervolging in maar moeten een noodlanding maken na een lucht gevecht. Het is aan jou het mysterieuze meisje te redden en te ontdekken wat er is gebeurt met de oude beschaving van de Azran.
