Wat is dit product precies?

Een houten plankval met groeven gevuld met een gel waarin levende aaltjes (Steinernema carpocapsae) zitten. Volwassen kevers kruipen eronder om te schuilen en worden daar besmet. Ideaal voor gebruik bij taxus, hortensia, laurier, aardbeien, rododendron en andere planten waar de taxuskever dol op is.

  • 1 houten val met vochtige gel en levende aaltjes
  • Duidelijke instructie bijgevoegd

 

Hoe gebruik je het?

  1. Haal de val uit de verpakking en verwijder de folie
  2. Leg hem met de groeven naar beneden op de grond bij aangetaste planten
  3. Zorg dat andere schuilplekken zoals stenen of bladeren worden weggehaald
  4. Houd de plek vochtig zodat de gel actief blijft
  5. Vervang de val na 6 weken of eerder bij extreme droogte

 

Voor welke toepassingen is dit product geschikt?

Voor siertuinen, borders en moestuinen waar je last hebt van:

  • Volwassen taxuskevers (Otiorhynchus sulcatus)
  • Schade aan bladeren van taxus, hortensia, aardbeien, rhododendron en meer
  • Kevers die zich overdag verstoppen in vochtige, donkere plekken

Veelgestelde vragen

Hoe snel werkt de val?
 Binnen een paar dagen beginnen de besmette kevers te sterven. Na een week zie je duidelijk minder schade.

Moet ik de val bevochtigen?
 Ja, bij droog weer even de plek besproeien. De gel moet vochtig blijven zodat de aaltjes actief blijven.

Is één val genoeg voor mijn tuin?
 Eén val bestrijkt ongeveer 10 tot 15 m². Voor grote tuinen raden we meerdere vallen aan.

Kan ik dit combineren met aaltjes voor in de grond?
 Zeker! Deze val pakt de volwassen kevers aan, en met aaltjes voor in de bodem pak je de larven mee. Zo ben je ze écht de baas.

Wanneer gebruik ik deze val het beste?
 Vanaf mei tot het najaar, zolang het buiten warmer is dan 12 graden. Dan zijn de kevers actief én de aaltjes effectief.

I like that I only have to press and release the button to pull out the cork and then it releases the cork automatically. Only charged once so far and is still fully charged. Also a blue LED is lit when cork is being removed and a red LED is lit when it is releasing the cork.

I thought this was going to be good. First bottle opened OK, though the device obviously struggled to get the cork out. Used for 3 or 4 bottles. on the last two, I had to manually turn the device to get the corkscrew in - then pull the cork out. Cork is in the device and it won't come out. UNFORTUNATELY I THREW OUT THE PACKAGING, SO NOT SURE WHAT IF ANYTHING I CAN DO WITH IT OTHER THAN THROW IT OUT. NOTE: I did try recharging the device after each use, though it made no difference.
