Dynasty: The Finale Mini-series features Dynasty: The Reunion - the 1991, 2 part event reuniting the characters from the American prime time television soap opera Dynasty, a series which aired from 1981 to 1989 and was the highest-rated U.S. series in 1985. The miniseries continues the story of the Carringtons, a wealthy oil family living in Denver, Colorado. The series finale of Dynasty, broadcast in May 1989, had left oil tycoon Blake Carrington (Forsythe) shot by a corrupt policeman, his beloved wife Krystle (Evans) in an off-screen coma, and his conniving ex-wife Alexis Colby (Collins) plunging from a balcony. The Reunion picks up two years later as Blake having survived the shooting but then convicted for the death of his attacker is pardoned and released from prison.

A Bold, Edgier Take on the Man of Steel
Format: Paperback
“Absolute Superman” reimagines the Man of Steel in a darker alternate universe where Earth is dominated by the Lazarus Corporation and enforced by the Peacemakers, an organization that bears an unsettling resemblance to modern immigration authorities. In this version, Kal-El arrives from Krypton not as an infant, but as a young man accompanied by an AI companion. After a brief stay with the Kents, he is reported as an illegal alien and becomes a fugitive, hunted by the Peacemakers. Adding an intriguing twist, Lois Lane is among those pursuing him.
This is a grittier, more morally complex Superman than the hopeful, sunny figure many readers may expect, but the reinterpretation is compelling. The collected volume, “The Last Dust of Krypton,” gathers the first five issues of the series and features striking artwork by Rafa Sandoval and others. Jason Aaron’s storytelling is thoughtful and engaging, making this a strong entry point into a bold reimagining of the character.

LOVE the absolute universe

If you have heard of DC's Absolute Universe, this is a great starting point. The art, the storytelling, and the new revision is all a blast to read. I highly recommend this and all the others in the absolute series.

Super good
Format: Paperback
This was my introduction to the absolute dc comics and boy did it make a good first impression. The art style is great and the writing too, it’s fast paced in the current sections and slower in the flashbacks making sure the pacing is good throughout the whole book. The length is good for how much you pay being able to be finished in 30 minutes to an hour for fast readers.
