Who is Jonathan Stuart?He was a pacifist before he was civil rights activist. He was a civil rights activist before he was a reformer. A reformer before he was a pioneer of cannabis reform in the entertainment industry. From art, to theatre, to being in a jug band, to forming his own bands, to being the man behind some of New York City’s finest underground #hiphop artists, Jonathon Stuart is a force to be reckoned with.
And, Jon Stuart is our founder, who was jailed on April 1st in 1964 for smoking pot. It was a setup for being a conscientious objector which was not popular in those days. He was sentenced to two years and throw into the #NYC jail system for a quarter of an ounce of marijuana.. for personal use. A year later he was released on good behavior and continued his journey in the entertainment business and never looked back again.
This post goes out to all the revolutionaries, in whatever world of your own you have created for yourself. May you keep believing and keep pushing the narrative, telling your story, your way.
